I Love It When You Call Me Big Poppa

My mood lately has been “casual chic, funky fresh” type shit and have had this sudden spark to start up my thrifting habit again. St. Louis has some really awesome thrift shops, and no I’m not talking Goodwill or The Salvation Army. I mean one of a kind resale boutiques in the heart of St. Louis like Found by the Pound.

On a random Sunday, my boo Courtney and I decided to stop in and I scored one of my prize thrifting possessions, my Biggie t-shirt, circa probably 1995-1997 (apparently this is going for $100-200 right now on eBay….hmmmmm). My dad use to have one of these shirts which I would wear to bed numerous times, funny the significance now.

Now because the shirt is so massive (I’m thick but I ain’t that thick hunny), I decided to turn it into a t-shirt dress and pair it with my one of my favorite NASA belts & my trench coat from H&M. Big t shirts are perfect for casual summer time dresses. I suggest to thrift your tees or even go to JoAnns or Michaels if you want a plain colored tee, and get you a funky belt. Affordable and very fashion forward.

Now because it’s summer doesn’t mean shit to me when it comes to fashion and what I’m wearing. I’m one of the bold fashionistas that still wears booties during the summer, hints my white blocked booties from Target. Look, if you’re too afraid to wear shit because of seasons and elements then you’re basic, I said what I said. Fashion is all about experimenting and seeing what you’re able to create, despite how hot or cold it is, get with it!

And of course to bring it all together, let me introduce you to Skully. Yes, this is one of my favorite purses of all time. If you know me, you know I like eccentric, unique purses that catch the eye and are conversation starters, and Skully is definitely a conversation piece.
