Last week we talked about how to gain fashion press (hop over to my reels and check out my last video) and this week we’re talking all things press releases!

My new segment on the blog #HautePr is all about DIY public relations for fashion brands, businesses, & creatives - and I broke down the 5 things you need in your press release, including:

1. Catchy Headline
2. To The Point First Sentence
3. Short, Concise, & Informative Body
4. Bomb Boilerplate
5. Final Notes/Contact Info

This structure not only will help you get featured, but is what I’ve used for my press releases for myself and past clients (and y’all know I’ve been featured honey)

This laugh represents both great things that have happened and how sometimes you gotta laugh to keep from crying.

Last weekend I lost my grandma, my last living grandparent. It was her time. But during this season meant for family, love, and holiday celebration, we were trying to deal with grief.

For my daughter it was and is harder. She turned 10 that very same week. That was a time of celebration and highlighting a milestone birthday, but a member of our family who was apart of the community who helped me raise her was no longer with us. Shes at an age where she understands death - so her being sad is because she understands grandma isn’t here anymore and won’t be for these moments of her growing up.

My emotions have been all over the place. Happy one minute and sad literally with a flip of a switch.

In 2022 I’m making a conscious effort of spending more time with those who are still here and concentrating on the happy moments filled with more smiles like this
